Absolutely – it was a bunch of fun.

Another hint: Usually there will be some sighting shots fired, either a couple of less spectacular fireworks or from a flare gun, just before the main event. Try to get to the site early and look for these sighting shots to gauge where the fireworks are aimed and also for wind direction in case you need to make a last minute dash to a better location or to avoid the smoke.
